About Us
Maze Bound Films is an independent production company based in South East London. Founded by three friends in 2022, we create original films, documentaries, and commercial work with a focus on authentic storytelling, creative collaboration, and cinematic craft.
While our directors form the core of the company, Maze Bound is built on a much wider community of talented filmmakers, artists, and creatives. We believe the best work emerges from open, supportive environments where everyone has the opportunity to contribute, grow, and take ownership of what they create. Together, we're committed to making ambitious films without losing sight of the passion, playfulness, and sense of community that brought us to filmmaking in the first place.
Meet the Directors
Caitlin Lee-Wilcox
Raised in Kempston, Bedford, Caitlin moved to Ealing in 2016 to study Film Production at the University of West London. Captivated by scripts with well written character arcs and beautiful cinematography, Caitlin continued to learn and improve her skills as an editor as well as develop her skills in leadership and people management.
The Editor of all of Maze Bound’s Original films and the driving force behind our Post Production processes, Caitlin is inspired by projects that break societal and industry norms. An experienced editor who has worked across multiple genres of short and long form programming for all the major terrestrial and digital broadcasters, previous employers have included post facilities and broadcast indies spanning the UK and the USA, supervising small teams, managing post workflows as well as being called upon to cut short sequences by senior editors on shows such as ‘Rupaul’s Drag Race UK’.
Her role at Maze Bound, although specialising in editing and post production workflows, spans across projects from beginning to end, collaborating with script writers, directors, colourists and sound mixers as well as being a direct contact for clients to achieve a desired product.
Head of Post Production
Sam Roy
Originally from Sleaford, Lincolnshire, Sam moved to London in 2019 to study Media and Communications at Goldsmiths University and fell into Directing in his third year. Since finishing his first film 'Don't Tell The Boys', he has gone on to write and Direct a number of his own films before co-founding Maze Bound.
Fascinated by the social realism genre and themes of masculinity and inheritance, Sam takes pride in identifying himself as a generalist - feeling strongly that, although its impossible to be an expert in all areas, a good Director is someone who understands the filmmaking process in its entirety. Alongside shooting his own films, he has worked in freelance videography roles, post-production houses, he currently advises on filmmaking courses at his old university and uses this experience to inform his creative practice and logistical processes.

The Mission
Art as the Authentic
From original filmmaking or promotional campaigns, we aim to imbue originality and emotional authenticity throughout the whole creative process; in scriptwriting, cinematography and post-production.
Film as the Collaborative
We believe community is the key to creativity. Founded by three friends, disillusioned with the current industry landscape, Maze Bound aims to promote a more equal and open creative environments. Spaces in which all cast and crew have the opportunity to contribute their talents, with a feeling of ownership over their work.
Sustainability as the Spirit
We have made a commitment to use profit as a means of growth. Every one of our productions is enhanced by previous experience; whether that be promotional material, documentaries or narrative films. We reinvest a percentage of our earnings into the next creative project, encouraging the expansion of our cinematic capabilities.
